Neil Baxter
Neil Baxter
Thirty-eight years ago Neil became a part of the Baxter family and with his first breath also became part of Baxter Financial. In 2007, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Brigham Young University and a Master of Accountancy from the University of Utah in 2009. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with more than eight years of experience in preparing tax returns, bookkeeping, generating and filing payroll, and resolving CP2000 letters. He has had many opportunities to learn and grow under the direction of his father. Neil enjoys getting to know new clients and helping them with their accounting needs. Similar to his father, Neil understands the importance in one-on-one attention and treating everyone like family. Neil is looking forward to taking over and continuing to grow the tax practice.

JOHN NIELSEN
In elementary school John wrote down and kept track of his earnings and expenses. He had accumulated a whole $18.75! Boy, did he feel rich. He could buy any candy bar he wanted! He thought better to hold onto the money in case something better than a candy bar came along. Fast forward to 2010 and John has earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Finance from Brigham Young University. He has had four years of experience as a quality control/financial auditor and likes to make sure the details are correct. He also spent two years working in sales tax as a staff accountant for Sales Tax Experts and helping businesses receive refunds from the state. John studied finance hoping to meet new people and help them with their financial goals. He is excited to be helping people feel like they can buy any “candy bar” in the store as well with their tax returns! He has been with Baxter Financial since 2014 and is looking forward to many more years of helping our wonderful clients.

Hollie Murdock
Hollie began her career in Business Management at the young age of 18 when she started and ran her own company. She quickly developed a love of business and “all things numbers”. She has since owned and operated several successful small business over the years. She earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Consumer Economics from the University of Utah and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Phoenix in her early years. After spending 20 years working as an Executive in Corporate America, she decided to follow her dream of becoming a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). She switched gears with her career and joined Baxter Financial in 2019 as a tax account. She has since completed a 2nd Bachelors of Science in Accounting from Western Governors University and is working towards completing all the requirements necessary to fulfill her dream of becoming a CPA. She loves preparing taxes and learning as much as she can each year about all the new changes to the tax laws. When she was a little girl her Grandmother told her “You are never too old to learn something new.” She has taken that advice to heart and strives to learn something new each day.
